Sennheiser RS 6-9 Wireless Headphone

I wanted clarity, I wanted portability, I wanted ease-of-use - all this I found in Sennheiser's RS 6-9's.

Let's start with clarity. A review really isn't indictative of how good these headphones make music sound. I've listened to music (like most people) all my life, and when you put on a pair of headphones and you hear new things in songs you've known for years, that's really saying something about the clarity. Not having tried a pair of Sennheiser's before, I really was suprised by the sound quality - everything is crisp, the bass comes through deep and pounding, but best of all - no distortion.

Portability. I was a tad dissapointed by the fact that when I got more than about 20-30 metres away I got a bit of static, but it quite often depends what is around where you live. Example: at my old house, it worked great up to about 70-100 metres where it trailed off in quality, but at my residential college (lots of metal) it doesn't work well beyond 15-25 metres. Perhaps not so good for people in apartments.

Ease-of-use: Plug the simple cables in, charge the battery, plug it into the headphones, tune and you're away. Fantastic. Nothing more to say....except buy two batteries - you'll listen so much on these heaphones that you'll need them.

Overall a wonderful unit, as long as you don't live in an apartment.Buy Sennheiser RS 6-9 Wireless Headphone!

SA6 and the W-1 Wireless Bundle Kit

The headphones alone are excellent--they have great frequency response and presence. I am not a technical type but I do own Etymotic ER-4's and these sound better to me.
These use flexible ear pieces like all other earphones in this category. They eliminate a lot of ambient sound but may take some getting used to if you have not used this type before. They come with several size ear pieces and I suspect most everyone will find a size they are comfortable with.
The wireless transmitter and receiver works well and allows me to use my I-pod without a dangling wire. The earphones can be used as a normal wired type or the wire can be removed and used with the wireless transmitter and receiver--the headphones sound exactly the same to me, either way. This is surprising, as normally wireless introduces sound quality erosion.
I do get some occasional very short dropouts in sound in the wireless mode if I have my I-pod in my pants pockets but have had no problem if I keep it in a top pocket. Line of site presents no problem--I have used at 30 feet with wall in the way from my stereo receiver and my PC. These are superior to other wireless products I have used that can not compete in terms of range.
The wireless receiver can hang in front or over the back of your head. It is a little large and a bit clumsy if you like it hanging in the front--so I have become a back of head hanger.
The on/off switches on the receiver/transmitter are a little small and you need to be careful not to hide the light when you turning them on and off.
I have not run out of charge after using 8 hours--I have seen other reviews that indicate you can expect 8-10 hours.
These headphones sound as good to me as my Etymotic at close to the same price--this wireless option makes these my first choice.Buy SA6 and the W-1 Wireless Bundle Kit!

These are excellent headphones. The sound is awesome and so natural. They are really comfortable too - so light weight I forget I'm wearing them. Innovage Wireless Headphones

I just received my wireless headphones and although it took some time for me to find the right sized screw driver to remove the battery cover, once that obstacle was out of the way, I was able to enjoy my new wireless headphones.
I use them with my MP3 player to listen to movies and music. The clarity and stability of the sound is truly amazing. I also use them during my aerobics work out and the earphones stay in place.
I will be recommending these headphones to others that I know are quite mobile as they enjoy their portable media players.

Audiovox IRHSCS Wireless Headphones

These worked right of the box in our 2007 Acura MDX with rear entertainment system. They are slightly smaller and don't fold up compared to the Acura/Honda headphones, but they have equivalent sound quality and are a much cheaper alternative (~ $40 compared to $70-85). We purchased 2 to give us 4 working wireless headphones in the car so everyone in the second and third row seats can enjoy the movies without using wired headphones which always got tangled up on the floor. Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones - Headphones ( behind-the-neck ) - wireless - Bluetooth 2.0 EDR - black

You get what you pay for... The audio quality is not on the level of wired Bose and Sony counter-parts, but when you compare the $50 I spent on these, to the $150 you'd spend on those, it's a good compromise (I've worked with these brands in recording instances). My wife and I live in a loft apartment with multiple electronics spread throughout. These headphones have superb signal all through the apartment. They're comfortable during long periods of use, and my wife loves the fact that they go behind the head instead of over (doesn't mess with her hair). As far as reliability goes, I trust the Logitech name. I'm a hardcore gamer and for years I've used their mouse/keyboard combos. In eight years of using those products I can say that not a one has broken on me. I've upgraded every so often out of personal preference for something new.
All in all, I'd highly recommend this product. Buy Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones - Headphones ( behind-the-neck ) - wireless - Bluetooth 2.0 EDR - black!

Emerson EHP1000 RF Wireless Stereo Headphone System

My unit is several years old. I use an Emerson EHP1000 head set to listen to my TV while walking on my treadmill. When I first start walking, I get a lot of static. After about 10 minutes the static is reduced somewhat. If I put my left hand over the left bubble, the static is reduced by about 95%. I have tried my right hand over the right bubble and it does not help. I have tried my right hand over the left bubble and it does not help. Would buying a new headset resolve my problem? When I turn off my treadmill, the static is eliminated, but then, it is almost eliminated when I put my left hand over the left bubble, while it is running.

I hope someone can give me some help so I can walk on my treadmill and listen to my TV. If anyone out there uses a headset while walking on a treadmill and does not get static, I would like to know the name and model of the headset.

CreativeLabs Digital Wireless Headphones ( 70BX000007148 )

Ideally -- for music you want a pair of wired headphones. They just sound better. But if you want the convenience of wireless -- these bluetooth headphones aren't bad.

I dispute the battery life claims on here -- mine last about 7 or 8 hours. I make frequent flights from the midwest to California and I listen to these there and back without having to change batteries.

I haven't had any issues with connectivity either. I can listen to music from my computer in the next room without the connection dropping. I get a second or two of static walking downtown but that's not unreasonable to me.

I also think these are fairly comfortable. They're also sturdy -- built well.

The dongle is a tad irritating, though -- I do wish the cable were shorter.Buy CreativeLabs Digital Wireless Headphones ( 70BX000007148 )!

GE 99003 Bluetooth Headphones with Playback Controls

I searched long and hard for a Stereo Bluetooth headset based on Bluetooth 2.0 for a decent price. I link it to my cell phone, which has an MP3 player built into it. It works and sounds very good, and if I get a call, a simple touch pauses the music and answers; then another touch to hang up and go back to the music. The mic works well, even though there's no boom visible.

Most stereo headsets are expensive, and/or based on the BT 1.1 or 1.2 std., which is must less reliable and poorer quality. I believe GE just slaps there name on this, but like most of the GE products (except for the wireless phones), it appears to be good quality.

The only problem I've had is that most of the time it will no connect to my phone automatically, but this can just as easily be an issue with my Nokia cell. I just assigned a shortcut key to it to add convenience.

Definitely been a good purchase so far. I hope it's as durable; it appears to be sturdy, and folds up well.

Allen Sports Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headphones (Black)

First the good - the sound quality is not bad, the range is good, it blocks outside noise well and it is LOUD. I also tried, and I am also sending back, a Jabra BT8040 for not being loud enough to hear when I am on the street and a bus goes by. Not a problem with this item. One could easily get it too loud.

Now the bad -

The dongle is huge! Probably twice the size of an ipod shuffle.

It does not clip onto your clothes very easily and there is an annoying super bright blue LED that flashes all the time.

The cords are too short to put the dongle into your pocket or otherwise get it out of the way, it is designed to clip on your collar-- Where it is big, heavy and flashing blue all the time! Yikes!

The controls are not easy to use by touch. It is just not well thought out. It's going back.

If you want to listen to music when you work out,a small mp3 player would be more convenient than this.Buy Allen Sports Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headphones (Black)!

Sennheiser RS-65 Wireless RF Circumaural Headphones with SRS Surround Sound Processor (Black)

Ok, so it is a little over a year since I bout this, and here I am doing a review. When I bought this I did so with some caution, there were so many reviews that said negative things about this head set. I took a chance and bought the head set, and the worked pretty good for about a year, then all of a sudden things started going wrong, first the charge wouldn't hold, then then the tuner would fade in and out, and then finally they just stopped. At the beginning they were pretty decent, and they had a pretty strong connection, I could go down two floors in my house, grab a soda and still hear what was going on in the movie I was watching, or tv show I was viewing. But when things started going bad, they went bad fast. They were comfortable, light and fairly easy to use. Too bad they died as fast as they did. Now I have to find another set, and I have a feeling I may not find a set that was as comfortable as there were???Buy Sennheiser RS-65 Wireless RF Circumaural Headphones with SRS Surround Sound Processor (Black)!

Rocketfish Digital Wireless Stereo Headphones RFWHP01

If you are looking for a good pair of wireless headphones for a low price, these are it! The sound is awesome and after a while it seems as though you are not even wearing them. I can watch TV or play a game while my daughter sleeps and not give up sound quality. I had to take them off a couple of times to make sure my surround sound was not still on, that's how good the sound is. My old headphones buzzed the entire time, a low buzzing but I am incredibly picky so I couldn't stand it after a while. Even when there is a quiet scene or silence, no buzzing or feedback!!

A lot of the online reviews will say they are uncomfortable, but they only get as uncomfortable as any headphones do after a while of wearing them. They are a bit bulky, but sound quality makes up for the dorky look of them. I guess I can see how they would be uncomfortable for someone with a large head though. I have an average size head (Anytime I get a hat I get a medium size, or regular). So as long as you don't have to buy a large or extra large hat, you should be fine.

The charger is a great addition. My last headphones needed batteries and let me tell you, it was irritating to constantly change the batteries on either the headphones or the base, so this freedom is definitely a positive. Some of the reviews I read said it was hard to get them in the charger, mine fall right into place and begin to charge, no problem at all, so I would figure user error on their part.

So if you want a good set of wireless headphones but don't want to pay $70+ for them, these are it. Buy Rocketfish Digital Wireless Stereo Headphones RFWHP01!

Over-ear Headphone Wireless Bluetooth for Ipod Black Color

So I do rope burn at the gym and these are perfect for the activity. The bluetooth allows me to skip to my heart's content without having cables tangled with my rope. I usually leave my iPod on the floor somewhere near by.

Sound quality wise, it is ok. The bass can be a tad stronger I find. Noise cancellation, it is ok, but maybe the gym I go to tend to blast music, so it does not really block out sounds from the environment.

What makes these headphones spectacular is the bluetooth. The range is pretty good in fact. I left my iPod in at the gym locker once, and it wasn't until I was about half way down the stairs that I realised I left my iPod upstairs. the distance was more than 30 feet I would say.

So, this is a pretty decent bluetooth headphones for what it does. Wireless. It is not design for an audiophile. Buy Over-ear Headphone Wireless Bluetooth for Ipod Black Color!

Acoustic Research AW791 Wireless Surround Headphones (Silver)

Have owned these for a year now. I would not recommend them. I have these at home for my PC. Everything seems to add interference. Its tollable but thats not the best thing to say about headphones. Some days just turning your head a few inchs when I am a feet from the unit is enough for them to loose signal. I don't bother to charge them on the stand, I rotate batteries between a charger and the headphones. At work I have had 2 pairs of sennheiser headphones. In 2004 I bought the RS-40. They worked great but I broke them by standing on them. Now I have refurbished RS130s that work excellently, and they run in rechargable AAA's! Neither Senn's really have the "surround sound" but I can't tell the difference to be honest. The surround sound on these is not that decernable. I think reception quality trumps surround dound in the end. I would get the RS130sBuy Acoustic Research AW791 Wireless Surround Headphones (Silver)!

Okay, I have to preface this by saying I have an incredible surround sound system, so I may be a little biased. I also have kids who won't go to sleep if we're watching a movie, so I got these. They are adequate for the job of watching movies - I mean, the sound is good, and the reception is good, but at no time did I think "ohmygod, these are incredible!".

They have good range - I can wander into the kitchen (the other side of the house) without losing reception - and they have independent volume control. So far, the battery life has been outstanding.

Apple M9128G/A iPod Remote Earphones iPod Remote And Earphones

I bought this remote about a year ago when I first got my mini. I primarily use my iPod when I am riding my motorcycle. I use the remote during the cooler months of riding when I am wearing a leather jacket.

The mini sits in a pocket or strapped to my arm, inside the jacket. I run the cord down my arm and clip it to the cuff of my jacket where I can control it with my hand. Although some have complained about the length of the cord, I think it is the perfect length if you want something to actually be remote - as in distant. The earphones plug into the end of the remote - I end up running the earphone cord back up my sleeve and out the neck of my jacket - it might not be a bad idea if there was also a piggyback connection where it plugs into the iPod so that you could run the earphones from either place.

There are four buttons on the remote: play/pause; skip fwd; skip rev; and, volume. The simplicity of the remote and the recognizable shapes and layout of the buttons lend it to easy, tactile operation - which is perfect when you are in a situation (like on a bike) where you can't give a lot of attention to fiddling with something. I do wish that it had some navigation capabilities from the remote, but that's a minor quibble. I have had no problems with the remote failing or having any other problems.

One reviewer wished that the remote was lit. If you have an iPod, you know that power is precious. I don't think it would be worth it to spend pod power on lighting the remote - not even a little bit - besides the buttons are sufficiently tactile that I don't think you really need to see the remote.

As for the headphones - forget them and go get something else. They don't sit on the ear very well and the sound is fair but not great. I did go through a few pairs of in-ear phones from Apple and Sony - but now have a set of Shure E2C's - which are an enormous improvement and more durable than either of the others. Acoustic Research 5.1 Surround Wireless Headphones (AWD510)

I just purchased a pair of these headphones at ultimate electronics. I plugged in the digital optical cable from my DVD right into the headphone base. I watched the intro to lord of the rings (fellowship) as well as the end fight scene of spiderman. The sound quality was so poor on both movies that it was not enjoyable to watch.

For a test, I took the spiderman dvd and plugged it into my macbook and used an old pair of optimus nova 71 headphones and they blew away the sound of the Acoustic Research headphones.

Sentry Wireless Headphones HO800

The Cons:
Entire set seems made of plastic and has a very non-sturdy "feel".
49.87Mhz operation. This is bound to pick up interference and hurt the range.
Requires one 9-VDC for transmitter and two AAA's for headset.
No AC "Wall Wart" provided. (9-vdc 200Ma neg sleeve hot tip.)

The Pros:
THEY ARE CHEAP!
THEY WORK!
AC power pin provided if you have an AC power supply.

Comments:
Okay, It is weird that Sentry didn't include a 9-vdc AC adapter. But the 200MA supply is cheap and easy to find. I had a couple laying around. I had a charger I used for AA Camera batteries so I bought a package of 4 rechargeable batteries when I bought the Headphones. Power supply solved!

I bought these to monitor source and recordings from Guitar that is routed through a USB Audio Interface on my computer. I sit maybe 6' from the transmitter. I have NO PROBLEMS with "range . There is no significant buzz from interference when utilized for the purpose for which I purchased these headphones. Frequency response is not specified in any of the documentation included but it is adequate for my needs.

I have this setup in my basement in between two computers (one laptop and one desktop). My network is cabled Ethernet (no wireless equipment at all). In addition to the two computers, I have three guitar amps, mixing board and a bunch of other electrical crap plugged in and usually "on". So Interference is not a huge issue in my setup...especially when sitting close to the transmitter.

Just out of curiosity, I fired up some Joe Walsh and took the headphones upstairs to the main level (out of the basement). There were spots where interference was definitely a problem. May not have been as bad had I had the transmitter located in a more reasonable place...like hooked up to a TV or Audio Video installation or something else that normal usage would suggest. At any rate, moving a few feet usually overcame the interference. I would imagine using a microwave in the vicinity of the unit would really fry the signal.

But for $24.95 new at a National chain of discount stores, these do exactly what I needed. There are far better units out there but as for functionality and bang for the buck, these are going to be hard to beat! They meet my needs.Buy Sentry Wireless Headphones HO800!

Remanufactured Sennheiser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones

When my wife gave me these as a replacement for the worn out Sony's I had been using, I was actually a little disappointed. I liked what I was using.

For the record, these are my computer headphones. I'd guess that I wear them at least two hours every day. I've had the 140's for at least a year now.

The sound is nice. Not audiophile quality, and not as nice as the old $100 Sony's these replaced.

The fit is not *quite* right for me. I have a large head and fully extended these are just barely large enough. I frequently wear a thin wool cap in the winter and that little bit of difference makes them uncomfortable.

Range is not important to me, but they do pick up fine throughout my house if I get up and walk around. Oddly though, they are the most temperamental when sitting right in front of the computer. Every so often I will start hearing static and will have to reach back and move the base slightly. I'm not sure what causes this. I'm bad about leaving the headset off the charger, so it could be a battery going low.

Again, these aren't perfect, but at this point I'm not sure if I could go back to a wired headset now that I'm used to these. Buy Remanufactured Sennheiser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones!

2.4 Ghz Wireless Headphone

So if you are in the market for new headphones, let me make one thing clear: do your research.

I didn't, and I paid a $40 cost for it. The culprit, COBY wireless headphones. They are everything that is wrong with headphones, and wireless technology today. The company did zero QA on the thing, and there is little excuse for putting out such a terrible product. Unfortunately, there isn't much protection for me in hoping I can take them back.

What's wrong with them you might ask. Well let me iterate:

1) batteries come not charged. Minor deductions as there is some slight validation to that.
2) Sits a bit too loose on head.

Now onto the important bits:

3) Low quality sound. Like listening to AM radio out in the boonies
4) Headset base station gives lousy indication of whether headphones are charged
5) Base power button is untactile and looks like it'd easily break
6) Headphone volume control makes loud clicking sound (yay for tactile) that deafens your ear when you press it while it's on your ear (oh... that's bad)
7) The channel button that lets you change your receiver's channel SHOULD NOT be there, it should happen so that people get clear reception period with minimal interference. However, they do have it, it SHOULD NOT make large static hiss sound when changing
8) When you first turn them on after a nice full charge. You have to fiddle with it just to get it to stop crackling. Once you do, sound comes in LOUD. Not clear, but REALLY LOUD. LIKE SOMEONE TYPING IN ALL CAPITAL.

I just feel sorry for any person who ends/ended up in the same position that I have from being screwed over by the people.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO COBY.Buy 2.4 Ghz Wireless Headphone!

Motorola S9-HD Headset with D650 iPod Adapter and Carrying Case (Gloss Black)

I might be more mad at the iphone and their so called innovative ideas, or lack of that is. This product would have been cool had it worked for the iphone, but it doesn't. Well, only the phone option works, but you have to stick that attachment which makes the already large size iphone, even bigger and it's not quite secure considering I have my iphone in a hard skin to protect it. So, it sits in the battery slot crooked and falls off with little movement. Listening to music didn't work on the iphone. Well, everytime I hang up on a call the music starts playing but not through the Motorola, but from the iphone speakr itself.. on its own! As far as the Motorola itself, it would've been cool to listen to music had it worked on the iphone. For calls, you really have to be in a quiet area, car, your own house.. but in the gym, i had to yell and the people I was talking to were annoyed by the loud noise. If you're gonna use it for music and it does work without the bulky attachment I had to use for the iphone, then the product is sweet, if you're like me where you're stuck using it for calls only and with alot of noise to deal with and no steaming music, then it's no good.Buy Motorola S9-HD Headset with D650 iPod Adapter and Carrying Case (Gloss Black)!

Arriva cordless iPod Shuffle headphones with ipod-type earbuds

I originally got these for running - it drove me nuts that my regular earbuds wouldn't stay in my ears. These are amazing - they fit really well and stay put. Now I use them for everything - I love listening to podcasts while doing chores around the house with them. The only downside - you do have to adjust the fit and it doesn't always stay adjusted. But once you get exactly the right orientation, it should be fine. In any case, these are totally worth it. Buy Arriva cordless iPod Shuffle headphones with ipod-type earbuds!

Sony DR BT10CX - Headset ( ear-bud ) - wireless - Bluetooth

the headphone is really nice but the battery pack was a little bulky. the sound quality was your average earphone, one things sucks about this bluetooth is the fact that you don't have the capability to use it for music such as skip a music or go back. is a decent earphone and i will recommend it but not at that price.Buy Sony DR BT10CX - Headset ( ear-bud ) - wireless - Bluetooth!

Skullcandy Double Agent Wireless Headphone and Music Player - Brown

I purchased these headphones not too long ago. I did not know that these headphones came with a 1 gig SD card. I already had a 2 gig ready to use, so when my headphones arrived, I tried to use my 2 gig SD card and for some reason the headphones gave off messed up white noise that drowned out my music. So I had to use the SD card that came with the headphones. It worked well after that, but then some music does not play and instead I heard a faint "zip" sound followed by complete silence. Also, the lowest setting on the volume still proves to be too loud for my ears. I don't dislike the product, it's still cool, I just don't use it as much as I had hoped. Ehh...I'm sure there are much better wireless headphones coming out, I'd recommend buying those. Buy Skullcandy Double Agent Wireless Headphone and Music Player - Brown!

Sony Bluetooth Transmitter and Adapter for iPod and MP3 Players

Performs exactly as I had hoped and better than I expected (based on the other reviews).

Not sure why others had problems with the "range" but, I have no problems. I get clear reception when in different rooms or different floor (2 level). I do get bad connections around electronics and especially when I'm around the microwave while it's operating but, I've come to expect that around all bluetooth devices.

No problems with the volume.

The "clip" seems sturdy and very similar to a tie clip with teeth.

The length of the cord isn't an issue for me but, if it was, I'd just go to an electronics store and get an extension.

Maybe the difference is the "receiver" device(s) that others are using. I'm using a MOTOROLA bluetooth receiver.

Okay, yea, the charger is bulky. I would prefer something smaller and with a universal connector but, I'm not going to mark down the device because of that issue.Buy Sony Bluetooth Transmitter and Adapter for iPod and MP3 Players!

Audiovox MVIRHS Wireless Infrared Headset for WHS100 Headphone System

Using in a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited with a factory installed JBL Synthesis DVD/NAV/CD Stereo system.

I bought (4) of these and they have been great! Good performance and battery life. Even my 3 year old can turn them on/off and control the volume. They also seem to fit well on my kid's heads (12, 9, 6, 3yrs)

I would highly recommend these headphonesBuy Audiovox MVIRHS Wireless Infrared Headset for WHS100 Headphone System!

XO Vision IR460 High-Frequency Wireless Infrared Stereo Headphone

Well if someone can help me i would appreciate it. I just received the the IR460 headphones (2) Installed the batteries, light came on, set my XOvision GX2148 overhead 9" dvd player to freq 87.7 no sound in phones. Attempted all available freqs, still no sound from either headphone set. Do i need something else to make these works or do they not work with this unit. A question i had asked before i bought the phones and never got a reply. Phones look wonderful, feel good and the price was right. But they are of no use if they do not work.. Please help if possible. Thank you. Emmet HuntBuy XO Vision IR460 High-Frequency Wireless Infrared Stereo Headphone!

Logitech Wireless Headphones for Pc

I do enjoy my wireless headphones and they are great to listen to music or watch a movie. The only complaint that I have is after a couple of hours of wearing they begin to hurt my ears. Your time will be limited to a certain amount of time.

I enjoy having them and I would buy them again but I would have liked them to have been more comfortable to wear for a longer period of time.

A very good product otherwise.

Coby CV-290 Bluetooth Wireless Behind the Neck Stereo Headphones with Dongle

I am disapointed in this product. I returned it because of many issues.

Pros
It is wire that wraps around the back of your head so it should not break
It is ver light
You can take onew ear out while driving. But volumn is so low that you would not be able to hear.
Cons;
Sounds like a $4.00 pair of wired headset
THe people on the other end cannot understand you.

Digital Wireless Stereo Headphones

Buy Digital Wireless Stereo Headphones!

AmbiCom WST-KIT Wireless Stereo Headphone Kit

These headphones worked for a couple days and then the receiver stopped connecting. Even after a complete charge of both the headphones and the receiver the connection does not get made. The headphones beep like its trying to connect and then beeps again a few seconds later after failing. I did notice that one day after powering down the receiver that the red button on it would not turn off. It hasn't worked since. Very disappointed.Buy AmbiCom WST-KIT Wireless Stereo Headphone Kit!

Boss Audio HS-IR Wireless Headphones With Infrared Transmitter

The negative reviews above are based on ignorance. This product is intended to be used in a vehicle. All car electronics are sold this way as they are intended to be connected to the vehicle's electrical system. If you know what you're getting and how to use it, this product fits the bill quite nicely.

As it happens, I didn't want to use this in my vehicle. I connected it to a 12-volt power supply I had sitting in my closet and my kids use it on the computer. Now they can play their online games and watch movies without bugging me and the missus. Of course, I can still easily use it in my vehicle should I choose to do so.

The headphones are a bit flimsy but I didn't expect much for the price. This is the only reason I didn't award 5 out of 5. Research indicates that replacing the headphones when they eventually break will not be difficult or costly (Wal Mart sells a kid-friendly set -- perhaps a bit more durable -- for ~$25, for instance).

The headphones use 2-AAA batteries in each set. The kids naturally forget to turn them off when they're done using them. The batteries haven't died yet -- it's been 3 weeks -- but when they eventually do I'll probably replace them with NiMH rechargeables.

Sound quality is a bit lacking; I assume that's due to the limited bandwidth offered by infrared. I also have a pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones (Logitech FreePulse) and they have much better frequency response but even they aren't quite as good as wired. You have to expect a trade-off for going wireless, of course. For the kids' needs it's more than adequate.

Overall, if your expectations are realistic, there is no reason this product shouldn't be more than satisfactory.
